Cultivar just means ...
Cultivar just means that it is a domesticated variety. Humans have selectively bred it to have different characteristics. They are the essentially the same plant. It may have a slightly different flavor but it is going to be essentially the same. It should be safe to use in the same way as the original plant the cultivar was bred from. The seeds are said to be too small to make? easy eating but the leaves are fine for tea or flavoring.

is Agastache rugosa ...
is Agastache rugosa Alabaster edible? I would love to make tea of the leaves but I do not know if the Agastache rugosa Alabaster is the same? as the Agastache rugosa. Can you tell me if they are the same plants? I do not know what cultivar means :/ if they are entirely diffrent plants or if they are alike
